Region codes

In the tables you can find payment regions codes that are passed in callbacks in the payment.region parameter. The received code depends on the merchant's country and the card country. All codes, except domestic, imply that the merchant's country and the card country do not match.

domestic Card country and merchant country are the same
intereuropean Both countries are part of the European region and one of the countries is a member of the SEPA while the other one is not
interregional Merchant country is a member of the European Union (EU) while the card country is not
non-sepa Both countries are part of the European region and are not part of SEPA
sepa (eea) Both countries are part of the EEA
sepa (non-eea) Both countries are members of SEPA, and at least one country is not a member of EEA

domestic The card country and merchant country are the same.
For payout (OCT) processing:
  • Merchant country is an EEA country (European Economic Area) and is the same as the card country, while acquirer country and issuer country are EEA countries
  • Merchant country is not an EEA country and is the same as the card country, issuer country, and acquirer country
international Both countries belong to different VISA regions according to VISA standards
eea Both countries are EEA countries
non-eea isr, tur Both countries are part of the European region and one of the countries is Israel or Turkey
non-eea che Both countries are part of the European region, except for Israel and Turkey, and one of the countries is Switzerland
non-eea other Both countries are part of the European region, except for Switzerland, Israel or Turkey, and one of the countries is Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or the Vatican
